Our 11 Point Safety Check
As part of every visit we do an 11 point safety check on your door
#1 We check your cables for fraying and exessive wear
#2 We inspect the pullies to see if the bearing races are loose or if it has lost ball bearings
#3 We look for safety cables and determine if they are properly installed. Many companies will simply knot these cables to the tracks making them unusable and actually directing a broken spring to a path which might damage the tracks, a proper cable goes through the support and is lagged into the frame.
#4 We inspect all hinges for broken or cracked hinges. We check for missing fasteners and loose braces.
#5 We inspect the springs to see if there are gaps or weak spots and if they are properly lubricated
#6 We inspect track alignment and supports
#7 We inspect rollers and roller wheel bearings and make sure they are inserted in the roller guides not the hinge itself
#8 We check for emergency release locks if the garage has no secondary entrance
#9 We inspect the corner lift brackets to make sure they are not rusted through or on dry rotted wood
#10 we inspect the opener travel limits and pressure settings .
#11 We inspect the safety sensors alignment and positioning
